FKS's "one stop shop" concept envisioned by Fitzsimmons is only part of the story.  The company has been an innovator in other ways too.

FKS is one of only a few companies in Hawaii to offer a department that repairs construction optical equipment.

"We've added a room in our building just for calibrating and storing companies' surveying equipment," explains Sales Manager Yoshida.

While FKS has been a pioneer in demonstrating how equipment and tools operate, it plans to use video tapes in educational efforts.

"We have a lot of videos from manufacturers that customers can use in our conference room," Yoshida explains. "In the future, we're thinking of possibly putting on video tape shows in a room where all of a company's employees can come down and view them."

While FKS continues to grow, Art Fitzsimmons' philosophy of fulfilling the customers' needs continues to be the companies primary policy and is passed on to each new employee.  Product knowledge, dependable delivery, service after the sale, innovative programs, in a one-stop-shop are a few reasons for the companies success that Art Fitzsimmons envisioned.
